Mystyk Shares Big Up Grenada Visualizer

By No Excuse
Share

Mystyk salutes home on Big Up Grenada, his soca single released on May 25, 2026. The Mystyk Big Up Grenada visualizer gives the record its full island frame, pairing the song with the Grenadian landscape it was written for.

Mystyk Big Up Grenada Visualizer, Frame by Frame

A visualizer lives or dies on whether the pictures match the record, and this one does. The official visualizer for Big Up Grenada was shot and chopped by Mpsdeva of Mafia.Image, with drone footage by @dreadshots and @project10media carrying the island from above. That aerial view is the point of the song in visual form: hills, coastline and home ground, shown wide enough for anyone who has left Grenada to feel the pull of it.

The credits carried on the official upload keep the whole production inside one camp:

Produced By [MadHead Productions]. Mixed & Mastered @Mpsdeva [MadHead Productions]. Shot & Chopped By @Mpsdeva [Mafia.Image]. Drone Footage By @dreadshots and @project10media.

Deva, who works as Mpsdeva, produced the record at MadHead Productions and then handled the camera and the edit as well. One producer across the sound and the picture gives the release a single point of view, and it keeps the visualizer feeling like part of the record rather than an add-on made after the fact.

A Love Letter on the Pure Vibe Riddim

Big Up Grenada runs 2:45 on the Pure Vibe Riddim, and every second of it is aimed at home. Written by Shane Coutain, the song is his love letter to Grenada ahead of Spicemas 2026, a salute record in the plainest sense: the island is the subject, the audience and the reason for the song all at once.

The single was released through Bad And Smart Music and MadHead Productions, the same tight setup behind Mystyk’s whole 2026 catalogue. At home, the record logs regular play on Live Wire HD, the Soca First station in St. George’s, which is exactly where a song like this has to land first. A salute to Grenada that Grenadian radio keeps in rotation has already done its first job before any streaming number enters the picture.

Records like this one carry a specific weight in soca. Jab records speak to the road and the mas, party records speak to the fete, and a big-up record speaks to belonging. Mystyk has spent 2026 recording in all three registers, and Big Up Grenada is the belonging one, the track a Grenadian listener abroad can put on when home feels far away.

Where Big Up Grenada Sits in His 2026 Run

The single sits in the middle of a six-single run Mystyk released between April and July 2026, a full season of work aimed at Spicemas. The run opened in early April with Your Love, with Pretty Girls landing the same week. She Love Jab followed on May 8, and Big Up Grenada came next on May 25, holding the heart of the season.

After it, Under Mi Ting arrived on July 5, and RudeBwoy closed the sequence on July 10 as his latest single. Heard in order, the run tells a clear story: a love song to open, a jab record for the road, a salute to home in the middle, and a stance record to close. Big Up Grenada is the emotional centre of that sequence, the one release in the six that is about Grenada itself rather than a moment inside its carnival.

The run builds on Ma’Dam, his 2025 single and still his biggest song, the record that carried his name furthest before the 2026 season began. Big Up Grenada works a different lane than that breakout: less about a single mas moment and more about the island as a whole, which is why it keeps finding listeners outside the Spicemas window.

A Grenada Record That Travels to Toronto

iimiTV covers Grenadian soca from Toronto because a large part of its audience lives here. Toronto holds one of the largest Grenadian communities outside the island, and Grenadian records stay in rotation at this city’s fetes long after the carnival season ends in St. George’s. A salute record like Big Up Grenada is built for exactly that distance: it lets the diaspora big up home from wherever it is listening.

The single is streaming now on Apple Music, and the visualizer is embedded above from Mystyk’s own YouTube channel, where he bills himself as a Grenadian artiste recording for Spicemas and beyond. Follow the run as it continues on Instagram at @mystykworld, and start with this record if the name is new to you: two minutes and forty-five seconds, one island, no wasted motion.
