Shenseea released the Catalyst EP on November 6 through Since ’93 and Columbia, her first major project since signing with the labels in late 2025. The eight song set runs just 21 minutes and pairs her with Asake, Vybz Kartel and Loe Shimmy.
Shenseea Catalyst EP tracklist runs eight songs in 21 minutes
The full tracklist, as listed on the release listing, is: 1. Vulnerability. 2. Playtime, featuring Asake. 3. Danger. 4. Garden. 5. Body Language. 6. Private, featuring Loe Shimmy. 7. 2 Face Gyal. 8. Talk To Me Nuh, featuring Vybz Kartel. The Kartel record, produced by Rvssian, was first released in March and closes the EP, giving a proven dancehall single a permanent home. Five of the eight songs are solo Shenseea records, so the project stays centred on her own voice even with three international guests on board.

Playtime connects Kingston and Lagos
“Playtime” is the EP’s front door, pairing Shenseea with Nigerian star Asake and arriving with an official video. The collaboration continues the dancehall and Afrobeats exchange that has run through her catalogue, while “Private” brings Florida rapper Loe Shimmy into a melodic setting and “Talk To Me Nuh” speaks directly to the core Jamaican audience. DancehallMag’s release coverage notes the EP is her first major project under the Since ’93 and Columbia deal, which puts full major label backing behind a record built to travel.
The follow up to a Grammy nominated album
Catalyst follows Never Gets Late Here, her 2024 sophomore album, which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album. An eight song EP is a deliberate step down in size and up in focus: every placement counts, and the guest list maps three audiences, Afrobeats, dancehall and American rap, without crowding her out of her own project.
Toronto hears it live tonight
For Toronto’s Caribbean diaspora, release day lands on a fete night: the Dancehall vs Soca late night party takes over Mia Toronto at 244 Adelaide Street West tonight, November 6, with Shenseea named in the night’s music policy alongside Vybz Kartel and the current dancehall rotation, per the event listing. A new Shenseea EP arriving the same day gives the city’s DJs fresh material for exactly the rooms that have carried her records in Canada from the start.
