Wiz Khalifa has signed with 10K Projects and released “The Calm,” the first preview of his new album Cool, which arrives November 13. The Wiz Khalifa The Calm release opens a new label chapter for the Pittsburgh rapper and sets the date for his next full-length in the same announcement.
The signing returns Khalifa to the Warner Music Group family and reunites him with Marsha St. Hubert, his longtime friend and former project manager, who now serves as president of the label. Cool will be released through 10K Projects.

Wiz Khalifa The Calm Opens The Rollout
“The Calm” is co-written by Khalifa with Eric Dan, Kenneth Wright, Edward Murray, Mackenzie Stotts and Jermal J Harper, as reported by Hot 103 Jamz. The writing credits point at the album’s core team: Eric Dan is one half of the Pittsburgh production duo I.D Labs, the hometown collaborators who have worked with Khalifa since his earliest independent run.
That matters because Cool is being billed as a hometown record. Khalifa made the album with longtime Pittsburgh collaborators and producers including E.Dan, I.D Labs, Sledgren, Ricky P, Big Jerm and Kenny Wright, the same circle that shaped the sound of his breakthrough era.
A Hometown Team Behind Cool
Sledgren has been part of the Taylor Gang sound since the Kush and Orange Juice period, and Big Jerm’s work with I.D Labs helped define the relaxed, melodic production that carried Khalifa from Pittsburgh mixtapes to arena stages. Putting that full team back together for a major label release is a deliberate creative choice, not a nostalgia feature list.
The label move frames it the same way. Rather than chasing a new sound at a new home, Khalifa signed with a president he has worked with before and brought his original production circle with him. “The Calm” is the first evidence of how that combination plays in 2026: measured, unhurried, and built by people who know exactly how his voice sits on a record.
November 13 Is The Date To Circle
Cool is scheduled to arrive November 13 through 10K Projects, which makes this one of the anchor rap releases of the month. With the single out now and the production team confirmed, the remaining questions are the tracklist and the guest list, and both should land in the coming days as the rollout continues.
For now, “The Calm” does the job a lead single is supposed to do. It announces the album, names the date, and reminds listeners that Wiz Khalifa’s most durable mode has always been the one this record is named for.
