Jack Harlow Releases Sweet Action II

Jack Harlow released Sweet Action II today, November 6, a seven-track EP on Atlantic Records that sequels the 2020 project that broke him nationally. The Jack Harlow Sweet Action II EP carries one feature, Babyface on the second track, Too Soon, and runs as a compact statement about modern romance.

Harlow announced the EP on Monday, November 2 and shared the full tracklist the same day. Six years separate the sequel from the original Sweet Action, the March 2020 EP that carried Whats Poppin and turned a Louisville regional name into a chart fixture.

The Jack Harlow Sweet Action II tracklist runs seven songs

The sequence, as published in the Hypebeast announcement of the EP, runs Signora, Too Soon featuring Babyface, She Gets Me, 610 Magnolia, Hold Back, Pressure, and Move On. Signora was billed as the project’s single in the Atlantic Records announcement. iimiTV listed the full sequence earlier this week in Jack Harlow Announces Sweet Action II EP, and today the seven songs are live on streaming platforms.

Babyface is the only guest, and the point

A single feature on a seven-track EP is a deliberate frame. Kenneth Babyface Edmonds is the defining writer-producer of modern R and B slow jams, and placing him on Too Soon, sequenced second, tells listeners exactly what register this project works in. Harlow has chased this lane before, but never with the architect of the form standing inside the song. The rest of the EP holds no other guests, which keeps the focus on Harlow’s writing across the run of titles about attraction, attachment, jealousy and commitment that Atlantic’s announcement describes.

A sequel that measures six years of growth

The original Sweet Action was a breakthrough document, seven tracks that introduced a persona. The sequel arrives after arena tours and chart-topping singles, and its subject is narrower and more adult: the contradictions of dating once the fame is permanent. Whether it lands as a bridge to his next album or a standalone keepsake, Sweet Action II is out today and short enough to judge in one sitting.

Sweet Action II is streaming now on Atlantic Records.
