Zeds Dead Adds Ottawa Tour Date

Zeds Dead have added an Ottawa date to close out 2026, playing History Ottawa on Sunday, December 27. The Zeds Dead Ottawa show was announced on Monday, November 2, and it gives the Toronto duo one last Canadian stage in a year they had already planned to end on the road’s biggest rooms.

The announcement came from Live Nation Ontario on Monday morning, and Exclaim! updated its tour report at 10:12 a.m. ET the same day. The capital date sits apart from the summer run: the Journey of a Lifetime Tour wrapped its amphitheatre leg in Los Angeles on October 2 and 3, so Ottawa is a year-end add-on rather than another stop on that route, a single December night in the city’s newest room.

JUST ANNOUNCED: Zeds Dead is heading to HISTORY Ottawa on December 27. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10am.

Zeds Dead Ottawa Tickets and the December 27 Date

Tickets for the History Ottawa show go on sale Friday, November 6 at 10 a.m. local time through the official seller. History Ottawa is the capital’s newest live venue, and a December 27 slot puts the duo in front of a holiday-week crowd, the stretch of the calendar when hometown fans are back in the city and looking for one big night before the year turns.

The timing carries extra weight because of what the duo said when the tour was announced. Zeds Dead, Dylan Mamid (DC) and Zachary Rapp-Rovan (Hooks), told fans they will be taking some time off in 2027, which makes every remaining 2026 date a last chance for a while. In their own words, posted when the Journey of a Lifetime Tour was unveiled:

Journey of a Lifetime is one of the first tracks we uploaded to the World Wide Web as Zeds Dead way back in 2009. 17 years later it feels like it was a prophecy. We’ll be taking some time off in 2027 so we’re going all out on production, new music, and stage design.

A Year That Started in Toronto and Crossed Canada

The Journey of a Lifetime Tour opened with two sold-out nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on July 2 and 3, then crossed the border for a July 10 set at Montreal’s OfF Picnik festival and a July 11 performance at Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre. After a run of United States dates through the summer, the tour returned to Canada on September 26 at Vancouver’s Freedom Mobile Arch before the Los Angeles finale in October. Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver were the Canadian stops. Ottawa now becomes the fourth, and the last of the year.

That route is the shape of the duo’s career. Zeds Dead formed in Toronto in 2009, after Mamid and Rapp-Rovan had spent their teens making hip hop beats together as Mass Productions, digging through records in a garage. The sampling habit never left: their 2025 album Return to the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness, their first full-length in close to nine years after 2016’s Northern Lights, is built from fragments of old television, film and music, and its 2026 companion, Return to the Return (of the Spectrum of Intergalactic Happiness), arrived as a surprise release on July 2, the week the tour launched.

Why the Ottawa Add-On Fits the Story

Three threads meet in this one date. First, it is a Toronto act choosing to close its year on Canadian soil, in the capital, rather than adding another American room. Second, it lands in a milestone year for the project: 15 years of Zeds Dead, 10 years of their Deadbeats label, and an October vinyl moment with the Northern Lights 10 Year Edition, a 2LP anniversary pressing of their 2016 debut released on October 21. Third, it is a genuine service date for fans: a confirmed venue, a confirmed day, Sunday, December 27, 2026, and a confirmed on-sale, Friday, November 6 at 10 a.m. local time, with no presale code printed here because none has been publicly verified by the venue or promoter.

For Ottawa listeners, the show also fills a gap in the tour map. The capital was not on the summer itinerary, and December club and theatre season rarely brings a headline electronic act of this size. A duo that started in Toronto basements in 2009, built one of electronic music’s most durable live draws, and spent 2026 on the biggest headline tour of its career now ends the year an hour’s flight from home. Zeds Dead Ottawa tickets go on sale Friday, and if the rest of this year’s Canadian dates are the guide, the room will not stay available for long.
