Nickelback released the Nickelback Everything Under the Sun album today, October 30, 2026, their eleventh studio record and their first for Virgin Music Group. The 12-track album runs 44 minutes and 38 seconds and follows 2022’s Get Rollin’ after a four-year gap between records.

The Hanna, Alberta band recorded the album between 2024 and 2026 with longtime collaborator Chris Baseford co-producing alongside frontman Chad Kroeger. It arrives three years after Nickelback’s induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the documentary Hate to Love: Nickelback, which reopened the public argument about the band on far friendlier terms.

Everything Under the Sun album tracklist

The tracklist runs in this order: Rattle The Cage featuring John 5, Bones For The Crows, I Already Know, Leave Me Behind, If I Don’t Go, Make Me Love You, Chasin’ Famous, Simple Song, Technicolor Steamboat, Lift Somebody Up, Bottled Dreams and Last Night Was Fun. A Japanese edition adds a thirteenth track, I Would Have Left You.

Four singles carried the rollout. Bones For The Crows came first on March 20, a song that had already surfaced in the 2023 video game Dungeon Hunter 6 and later topped Billboard Canada’s Mainstream Rock chart conversation as the band’s first new music since 2022. Rattle The Cage, released July 14 with the album announcement, gave John 5 his first Billboard number one in a billed role when it topped Mainstream Rock Airplay in September. Leave Me Behind followed on August 21 and Make Me Love You on September 24, the last of them playlisted as the album’s emotional centre in the release campaign.

This album has every side of the band on it. There are songs that hit as hard as anything we’ve ever done, songs that take chances, and songs that remind us why we’ve been doing this together for so long.

That is Kroeger describing the record, and the guest list backs up the range he is claiming. Lift Somebody Up stacks Sammy Hagar, Shinedown’s Brent Smith and Zach Myers, Tommy Lee, Charlie Benante and Joe Bonamassa onto one track. Technicolor Steamboat features Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds on vocals, a cameo that only works for a band comfortable treating its own fame as part of the show.

A first album for Virgin Music Group

Everything Under The Sun is Nickelback’s debut for Virgin Music Group after two records through BMG. Label moves at this stage of a career are rarely about discovery. They are about catalogue muscle, global marketing reach and tour support, and this album is wired directly into a 2027 world tour that carries the same name.

The Everything Under The Sun Tour opens February 6, 2027 in Pittsburgh and runs through North America before heading to the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia. Canadian stops include Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena and Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, with Don Broco joining as special guests on the run. The Australian leg added a final Hunter Valley date at Roche Estate on October 17 after demand pushed the routing longer.

That touring scale is the context the album has to be read in. Nickelback’s previous cycle behind Get Rollin’ became the best-selling tour of the band’s career, and the new record was clearly built to feed rooms of that size: arena riffs up front, a ballad-shaped single in Make Me Love You, and a closing stretch written for the back half of a live set.

Thirty-one years in, the argument has changed

Nickelback formed in Hanna in 1995 and became one of the best-selling Canadian acts in history while also becoming the internet’s favourite punchline. The documentary and the Hall of Fame induction did not erase that history, but they reframed it: a small-town Alberta band that wrote its own songs, kept the same four members and outlasted nearly every act it was once compared against.

Everything Under The Sun does not run from that story. Songs like Chasin’ Famous and Last Night Was Fun lean directly into the fame machine, while the production team around Kroeger and Baseford, including Ryan Peake, Mitchy Collins, Chris Holmes, One Love and Ido Zmishlany across the tracklist, keeps the sound in the polished hard rock lane the band has owned for two decades.

The album is out now on Virgin Music Group, with the full tracklist above and four singles already in the world. Whether it changes any remaining minds is a separate question. As a release-day fact, a Canadian band 31 years into its career just shipped its eleventh album into a sold-out-scale world tour, and that staying power is the story.
