Taste of Country Remembers Nicole Taylor

By No Excuse

The tributes to Nicole Taylor widened on Tuesday, as the country radio family she joined in 2024 said its own goodbye a day after her sisters shared their loss with the world. Nicole, one third of the trio Taylor Red, died on September 28 at her home in Nashville at 35, and Natalie and Nika Taylor announced her passing on Monday, November 2, as the original story reported. The announcement video, “We Lost Our Triplet Sister Nicole,” was posted to the group’s official YouTube channel.

In it, the sisters said they were “shocked and heartbroken to announce the passing of our sister Nicole Taylor,” and explained the ending they had prayed for over four years of illness: “We thought she would be here sharing her story of earthly healing. Instead, we are sharing her story of heavenly healing, and she is at peace and no longer suffering, so we are thankful for that.”

A Radio Chapter The First Story Did Not Tell

Beyond the trio, Nicole had built a second career in country radio. She joined Taste of Country in 2024 as co-host of the syndicated morning show Taste of Country Mornings with Wood and Nicole, which ran until October 2025, according to MusicRow’s industry obituary. On Tuesday, November 3, the Taste of Country team published a memorial in her name, with colleagues from across Townsquare Media sharing memories of the singer behind the microphone, the part of her working life her millions of social media followers rarely saw.

Her Co-Host Leads The Nicole Taylor Tributes

Wood, who shared the morning show with her, led the tributes. “I was lucky enough to call Nicole more than a co-host, she was a true friend,” he wrote. “Nicole put others ahead of herself, loved her family and despite the challenges she faced, she always had a positive outlook that made being around her a true joy. She will be missed by many, which is a sign of how special she was.”

“Her earthly journey was marked by a heavenly perspective. That is how I will remember Nicole Taylor.”

That was Adison Haager, who remembered a colleague “slow to speak, not because she didn’t have something to say, but wanted her words to matter,” and a woman whose peace about her own illness, diagnosed as stage three breast cancer in 2022 before advancing to stage four, left the people around her in awe. Taste of Country Nights host Evan Paul recalled her first visit to his studio with her sisters, when she spent the whole wait asking about his life instead of talking about herself. “That’s the type of person Nicole was. She always cared about others first,” he wrote, adding: “I am convinced that when you see a star shooting across the sky at night, it’s Nicole giving us a wink and letting us know she’s all right.” Loudwire Nights host Chuck Armstrong, who sat in on the inaugural Taste of Country Mornings broadcast, said he did not think “there is anything that could have put a frown on her face,” and editorial director Rabab Al-Sharif admitted she had been skeptical of the influencer hire in 2024, then watched Nicole ask questions, share ideas and treat every edit as a lesson.

Her Voice Stays On The Record

The family has held a private funeral service, and the memorial page on Taylor Red’s official site invites fans who want to honour Nicole to donate to Samaritan’s Purse, one of her favourite charities. What she leaves behind in public is the work itself: more than 1,000 shows with her sisters and a catalogue built on triplet harmony, led by “Country Money,” the 2021 single that carried Taylor Red from TikTok to country’s national conversation.

Natalie and Nika now carry the group forward as a duo in name only; every Taylor Red recording still holds all three voices in the frame. The radio tributes make the same point from a different room. In two years of mornings, Nicole Taylor had become, to a second family of colleagues, exactly what her sisters called her in their statement: the leader, and the best friend.
