Shenseea Announces Debut EP Release Date

By No Excuse

Shenseea releases her debut EP on Friday, November 6, 2026, via Since ’93 and Columbia Records. It is her first project under the label since signing in November 2025, and her first body of work since the Grammy-nominated album that made her dancehall’s biggest female star.

The announcement, reported October 24 by Kaboom Magazine and DancehallMag, was deliberately lean. A date, a label, a teaser, and almost nothing else. For an artist at Shenseea’s level, that restraint is its own statement: the EP does not need a long runway, and the next nine days of questions are part of the rollout.

Shenseea EP Release Date: What Is Confirmed

Here is what is actually confirmed. The project is her debut EP, it arrives November 6, 2026, and it is released via Since ’93/Columbia Records, her first project for the label since she signed in November 2025. Shenseea teased a new single titled “Garden,” with visuals filmed in Jamaica, and she clarified that “Garden” is not the title of the EP. Her own words on Instagram set the date:

“GARDEN… on my project releasing NOV 6!”

What is not confirmed matters just as much, and this post will not dress guesses up as facts. There is no announced EP title, no tracklist and no cover art yet. DancehallMag noted the same lean rollout: a date and a name, with the rest left open. Anything beyond the date, the label, the “Garden” teaser and the EP format is speculation until Shenseea or the label publishes it.

The “Garden” teaser itself is worth a closer read. Kaboom reports the single was teased with visuals filmed in Jamaica, her home country, which points the campaign’s imagery home even as the label machinery behind it is international. An artist who broke out of Jamaica’s dancehall scene, signed to a London and New York label structure, choosing to film the first look of the new era at home is a small detail that tells her audience where this project intends to stand. DancehallMag read the same post and reached the same conclusion this desk does: for now, November 6 is the only hard detail, and the guessing is part of the design.

The Skillibeng Question Stays A Question

One collaboration is widely expected, and it needs to be labelled exactly that way: expected, not confirmed. Kaboom reports that a Skillibeng collaboration is expected after the fellow Jamaican dancehall star appeared in several shots Shenseea shared earlier in the rollout, alongside posts declaring “my project is done.” That is the full extent of the evidence. He was around the sessions and in the frames. No announcement from either artist or the label has confirmed a feature.

If it lands, the pairing makes obvious sense. Skillibeng is dancehall’s other global breakout of this decade, and a Shenseea and Skillibeng record would be the genre’s two biggest young exports on one song, the kind of link-up the diaspora from Toronto to London to New York has been asking about for years. But expected is not a tracklist credit, and iimiTV will report it as confirmed when it is confirmed, not before.

The Run Since Alpha, And What This EP Has To Do

The context is a career built in two directions at once. Her debut album Alpha, released in 2022 through Rich Immigrants/Interscope, paired her dancehall roots with crossover swings, including “Blessed” with Tyga and “Lick” with Megan Thee Stallion. Her 2024 album Never Gets Late Here, also through Rich Immigrants/Interscope, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Reggae Album, and she recently won Best Female Dancehall Artist at the Caribbean Music Awards for the second consecutive year. The run since Alpha has made her the most decorated and most watched woman in dancehall.

That is the bar this EP walks in under. An EP is a shorter canvas than the album her audience is waiting on, which makes every track count double: it has to prove the Since ’93/Columbia partnership sounds like something, show whether the next Shenseea leans into the dancehall that built her or the pop crossover that keeps calling, and hold her crown through a winter when every contender is releasing. The EP format says she is not ready to hand over a full album statement, and does not need to. A tight, undeniable six or seven songs would do more for her position than a bloated album would.

Shenseea’s debut EP arrives Friday, November 6, 2026, via Since ’93/Columbia Records. Between now and then, watch for the title, the tracklist and the answer on Skillibeng. iimiTV’s Caribbean Music desk will cover the release when it lands.
