What channel is the Leafs game on tonight?
Start with the night of the week and the type of game. A Leafs game in 2026-27 falls into one of these buckets:
Regional games are the largest group, and they are split two ways. Sportsnet Ontario carries the majority of the regional schedule, while TSN4 carries 27 Leafs games in the Leafs region. Regional broadcasts are only shown inside the team’s region on television, which is why the same game can be easy to find in Toronto and blacked out in Vancouver on the standard streaming plan.
Monday Night Hockey is a national package that no longer sits on a regular television channel. The Leafs have 13 Monday games this season and every one of them streams exclusively on Sportsnet+. The October 26 game in Calgary was the latest example: no Sportsnet channel on cable carried it, and the only live route in Canada was Sportsnet+.
Wednesday Night Hockey belongs to Prime Video this season. Six Leafs games sit in the Wednesday package, and those games stream on Prime Video in Canada rather than on Sportsnet or TSN.
Saturday games are national on Sportsnet, under the network’s Saturday Night Hockey banner. The old CBC partnership has ended, so Saturday night hockey in English now runs through Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ rather than the CBC.
How to stream the Maple Leafs in Canada
Sportsnet+ is the centre of the Leafs streaming map. The Standard plan streams the Sportsnet channels, which covers the Sportsnet Ontario regional games and the national Sportsnet games in your region, plus the Sportsnet+ exclusive Monday package. Sportsnet subscribers with Rogers Xfinity TV receive the Monday package at no extra cost; subscribers through other television providers can add it through a Sportsnet+ add-on listed at $12.99 a month as of October 2026.
TSN streaming (listed as TSN+ in game listings) carries the 27 TSN4 regional games for viewers inside the Leafs region. TSN’s Standard tier streams the TSN channels live, and its Premium tier adds extra NBA, NFL and other inventory. A cord-cutter who wants every Leafs game legally needs both services this season: Sportsnet+ for the Sportsnet Ontario, national and Monday games, and TSN streaming for the TSN4 games, plus Prime Video for the six Wednesday games.
Sportsnet+ Premium is the tier that matters once you leave the region. Premium adds out-of-market NHL games, including the other Canadian teams and U.S. versus U.S. matchups, with a choice of home or away feed on many games.
Leafs blackouts, explained plainly
A blackout is not a broken stream; it is the regional rights system working as designed. If a Leafs game is a regional broadcast, Sportsnet+ Standard and TSN streaming show it live only inside the Leafs region. A fan in British Columbia trying to watch a Sportsnet Ontario regional game on the Standard plan will be blacked out, and the fix at the streaming level is Sportsnet+ Premium, which carries out-of-market games. National games, the Saturday package, the Monday Sportsnet+ package and the Wednesday Prime Video games, are not regionally blacked out inside Canada. Sportsnet+ offers an NHL Game Finder on its site: enter your location and plan and it tells you whether a given game is included or carried by another broadcaster. When in doubt before puck drop, that tool is the fastest check.
Maple Leafs on the radio
Every Leafs game is on radio in Toronto, split between Sportsnet 590 The FAN and TSN 1050. The split follows the television broadcast: the station carrying a given game is the one paired with that game’s TV network, and the Leafs publish the pairing for every game in their game-day notes on NHL.com. Todd Crocker, the longtime voice of the Toronto Marlies, stepped into the play-by-play chair this season alongside analyst Jim Ralph, following Joe Bowen’s retirement after 2025-26. The October 26 game in Calgary aired on Sportsnet 590, while the October 17 game against the Islanders aired on TSN 1050, which is why checking the pairing matters game by game.
Leafs viewing questions, answered
What channel is the Leafs game on tonight? Wednesday, October 28 in Seattle is on Sportsnet Ontario at 10:00 p.m. ET. On other nights, check the bucket: TSN4 for its 27 regional games, Sportsnet+ only on Mondays, Prime Video on the six Wednesday package games, and Sportsnet nationally on Saturdays.
How can I stream the Leafs in Canada without cable? Subscribe to Sportsnet+ for the Sportsnet Ontario, national and Monday games, add TSN streaming for the TSN4 games, and keep Prime Video for the Wednesday package. No single service carries the full season.
Is the game on TSN or Sportsnet? Both, across the season. Sportsnet Ontario carries the majority of regional games and all of the Monday and Saturday national packages; TSN4 carries 27 regional games. The next-game box at the top of this page names the channel for the upcoming game.
