Statik Selektah released Expensive Taste on November 6, 2026, a 21-track producer album out now through Mass Appeal. The Statik Selektah Expensive Taste tracklist gathers more than three dozen MCs, from Busta Rhymes and Raekwon to Freddie Gibbs, Joey Bada$$ and Westside Gunn.

Producer albums live or die on curation, and this one was sequenced like a menu. Statik first revealed the tracklist in a three-course format, a presentation that matched the title. Apple Music’s editorial team, on the album’s official Apple Music page, framed the approach this way:

If there’s one thing that longtime Boston DJ/producer Statik Selektah knows, it’s good hip-hop.

The same editorial notes that repeat appearances from Joey Bada$$, Ab-Soul, Bruiser Wolf and Termanology, Statik’s partner in 1982, keep the 21 songs feeling like one album instead of a compilation of leftovers.

Statik Selektah Expensive Taste Tracklist in Full

The full Expensive Taste tracklist runs: Rose Tinted featuring AZ, Boldy James, Ab-Soul and Bruiser Wolf; Generational featuring Killer Mike, Styles P and Termanology; Eye Shine featuring Busta Rhymes, Smif N Wessun and Nina Sky; Champagne Wishes featuring Ab-Soul, Raekwon and Freddie Gibbs; Growing Pains featuring Joey Bada$$; 365 featuring Paul Wall, Smoke DZA and Kai Ca$h; Choose Life featuring G-Eazy; Tooth 4 Tooth featuring Coyote, Termanology, Lord Sko, REKS, JFK, UFO Fev and Ea$y Money; The Louvre featuring Westside Gunn, Joey Bada$$ and Rome Streetz; The Red Carpet featuring Pharoahe Monch; and Where Did The Shroom Guy Go featuring Hannibal Buress, with 2 Chainz among the guests on No Time Soon.

The Two Singles That Set the Table

Champagne Wishes arrived first, putting Ab-Soul, Raekwon and Freddie Gibbs over one Statik beat, three writers with nothing in common except precision. The Louvre followed the same logic from the other direction: Westside Gunn, Joey Bada$$ and Rome Streetz trading high-art street rap, the Griselda and Pro Era worlds sharing a track without either one bending.

Those pairings are the album in miniature. Statik’s jazzy, sample-driven production is the common ground, and the guest list was built to test it from every era at once: AZ and Pharoahe Monch from the lyricist canon, Cordae and Kai Ca$h from the current generation, Paul Wall carrying Houston into a New York producer’s record.

A Big Season for Statik Selektah

Expensive Taste is not his only major credit this quarter. Statik produced 2 Chainz’s full album Playaz Only Live Once, shortened to P.O.L.O., which arrives December 4, and the two projects connect directly through No Time Soon, his collaboration with Chainz on this album. A producer placing a 21-track album of his own and a full star vehicle inside a month is having a season most producers never get.

The album is available digitally through Mass Appeal, with vinyl and CD editions also on sale. For listeners who still believe the producer can be the author of an album, Expensive Taste is the year’s clearest argument, 21 tracks long and built entirely out of other people’s best verses.
