SonReal Opens Here Goes Nothing Tour Friday

SonReal opens the Here Goes Nothing Tour on Friday, November 6, at Double Dragon in Edmonton, starting a Canadian run behind the album of the same name. The SonReal Here Goes Nothing Tour reaches Calgary, Victoria and Vancouver across the following eight days, a western sweep for one of the most durable careers in Canadian hip hop.

The timing is the point. Here Goes Nothing, the album, was released on August 14, 2026 through Honest Work Inc, close enough to the tour that the songs are still new to the rooms he is about to play, and far enough out that the audience has had a full season to learn them. For Canadian rappers building a national circuit, that album to tour spacing is the business model in miniature: a late summer record, a fall run through the mid sized rooms that actually sustain a career, and a catalogue deep enough to fill the rest of the set.

SonReal Here Goes Nothing Tour dates across Canada

The announced November leg is compact and entirely Canadian. The tour opens Friday, November 6 in Edmonton at Double Dragon, continues Saturday, November 7 at Commonwealth Bar and Stage in Calgary, then crosses to British Columbia for Friday, November 13 at Capital Ballroom in Victoria and Saturday, November 14 at Hollywood Theatre in Vancouver. Current ticket listings also place SonReal on December Ontario dates, including London on December 16, Toronto at History on December 17 and Ottawa on December 19, which would close the year with the run’s biggest room in the city where his label, Black Box Recordings, is based.

The routing tells its own story about where his audience lives. Alberta gets the opening weekend, the coast gets the second, and Ontario gets the December finish. These are repeat markets, built over a decade of touring that his event bio quantifies plainly: more than 350 million global streams and 213 million video views across his catalogue, with tours alongside artists such as Jon Bellion on his record. Canadian hip hop has plenty of streaming stories; it has far fewer artists who have converted streams into a decade of sellable rooms from Edmonton to Ottawa.

A catalogue built on one breakout video

Every SonReal set still turns on the song that started it. Everywhere We Go, produced by Toronto’s Burd x Keyz, was the first single from his For The Town EP, released through Black Box Recordings and Universal Music Canada. Its talent show video became a genuine viral moment, passing a million views in under a month, winning MuchFACT Video of the Year honours in 2014 and earning a gold certification in Canada from Music Canada, with the video’s audience now counted in the tens of millions. His own long running tour bio captures the persona that video introduced.

SonReal would be just as at home in a Wes Anderson or Farrelly Brothers movie as he is behind a mic.

The catalogue widened from there. Can I Get a Witness, the first single from his 2017 international debut album One Long Dream, is certified double platinum in Canada according to his current tour listing, and songs such as Parachute, 1000 Highways, Bank On Me and Healing, his collaboration with Jessie Reyez, fill out the expected setlists circulating for this run. Six JUNO Award nominations sit behind the live reputation. The through line is consistency: the Vernon, British Columbia artist born Aaron Hoffman has released and toured in every era of Canadian rap’s growth without a long disappearance in between.

Why this run matters for the scene

There is a wider Canadian hip hop point inside a four city November leg. The scene’s headline tier tours arenas, but its working tier, the artists who proved a Canadian rapper could build a national audience without American permission, sustains the circuit underneath: the Double Dragons, Commonwealths and Capital Ballrooms of the country. SonReal is one of the clearest examples of that tier holding. A new album in August, a national run by November and a Toronto arena district room waiting in December is the full cycle, executed by an artist who has been running it for over a decade. The Here Goes Nothing Tour opens Friday in Edmonton, and the rooms will deliver the verdict the way they always have for him, one city at a time.
