Victoria Monet released Frequency of Love on October 2, 2026, a 22 track album through Lovett Music and RCA Records. The record is her first full length studio album since the Grammy winning Jaguar II era.
Montreal producer Kaytranada gives the album a direct Canadian connection. He produced Reach Out with D Mile, one of the three singles that introduced the record, and that song set the groove and the visual standard for the whole rollout months before release day.
Three singles, three different jobs
Let Me arrived first as a ballad and reached number one on Billboard Adult R and B Airplay chart in June. Monet launched the cycle with vulnerability and voice rather than a dance record, a choice she described as an opportunity to lead with voice. Reach Out followed in July, produced by Kaytranada and D Mile, with a Dave Meyers directed video choreographed by Sean Bankhead. Reporting described Monet and dancers outside a concrete building, moving between group choreography and close ups in a white outfit. Juicy arrived in September, produced by D Mile, Spencer Stewart and Michael Brun, with additional production from Camper and Ryan James Caar.
Those three songs explain the album title in practical terms. Let Me is intimate. Reach Out is rhythmic and direct, built around contact with a long term love interest. Juicy widens the sound again. Together they present Frequency of Love as a record about different kinds of love at different tempos, not a single mood repeated for 22 tracks. The album was executive produced by Camper and opens with All I Need, a track Monet described as a pivot point after her 2024 Grammy appearance with her daughter Hazel.
I did not make Thriller. I just made my version of what I would make with that mindset.
Monet gave that quote to the Associated Press while discussing taking inspiration from Michael Jackson move from Off the Wall to Thriller. The distinction in the quote is the point. She was describing ambition and growth between albums, not imitation of a specific record. Jaguar II made her a Grammy winning album artist. Frequency of Love is the test of what she builds on top of that level, with a larger tracklist, a major guest list and a tour designed for the new material.
A guest list that maps the record
The confirmed guests include SZA, Bruno Mars, Bryson Tiller, Lucky Daye, Chloe and Leon Thomas. Her daughter Hazel also features, adding a personal element that reporting on the album linked to its themes of motherhood, love and hopes for the world. A further detail shows how personal the sequencing gets. Her mother, cousin and aunt appear alongside the Sunday Service Choir on No Love Like Yours, listed as an interlude. Family voices and star collaborators sit on the same album, which fits a title that treats love as a frequency running through work, family and romance.
Four concrete production names tell a parallel story. Camper executive produced the album and worked with longtime collaborators including D Mile. Kaytranada produced Reach Out, bringing a Montreal dance and R and B sensibility to a key single. Michael Brun joined the Juicy production team. Sean Bankhead choreography and Dave Meyers direction gave Reach Out a performance identity that Monet personally funded beyond its video budget, according to her interview comments about investing in great music videos. That spending choice matters because Monet reputation as a performer depends on choreography being treated as part of the music, not as marketing added later.
From release week to a Toronto tour stop
The album rollout continues on stage. The 27 city North American tour starts October 27 at Raleigh Red Hat Amphitheater and ends December 17 at San Francisco Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Listed stops include Toronto and Vancouver, along with New York, Chicago, Inglewood and Seattle. The shows will feature songs from Frequency of Love alongside music from Jaguar, Jaguar II and Jaguar II Deluxe.
That routing gives Canadian listeners two ways into this story. Kaytranada production is already on the album, and Toronto and Vancouver are already on the tour map. Frequency of Love arrived October 2 with 22 tracks, three advance singles and a number one Adult R and B Airplay hit already in hand. It is a major international R and B release on its own terms, and its clearest Canadian thread, a Kaytranada produced single with a Dave Meyers video, is also one of its strongest songs.
