How to Watch Raptors Games in Canada

By Rin

The Toronto Raptors host the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night at Scotiabank Arena, and the game is on TSN. If that answer surprises you, Friday’s rematch against the same opponent is on Sportsnet, which is the Raptors season in miniature: two networks split the schedule, and the only way to never miss a game is to know the map.

This page is that map. The box below always carries the next game with its confirmed channel and stream, and the guide under it explains how TSN, Sportsnet, Prime Video and NBA League Pass actually divide a Raptors season in Canada.

What channel is the Raptors game on tonight?

For most of the season, the answer is one of two networks. TSN and Sportsnet split the Raptors’ Canadian broadcasts roughly in half: TSN’s schedule carries 41 Raptors games, and Sportsnet carries the other half of the local schedule. The split is decided game by game rather than by day of the week, so two games against the same team in the same week can land on different networks, exactly as the Orlando pair does this week: TSN on Wednesday, Sportsnet on Friday, October 30.

The remaining games sit in national windows. Ten Raptors games this season are U.S. national broadcasts across ESPN, NBC and Peacock, NBA TV and Prime Video, up from four a year ago. Two of those are Prime Video exclusives on the announced schedule: Friday, November 20, 2026 at Detroit, and Thursday, January 7, 2027 against Minnesota. When a game sits in a Prime window, Prime Video is the live route in Canada; when it sits in a TSN or Sportsnet window, that network’s channel and streamer carry it.

How to stream the Raptors in Canada

TSN streaming carries every TSN game live. Game listings still label the service TSN+, and TSN’s tiers stream the TSN1 to TSN5 channels: the Standard tier covers the channels themselves, while the Premium tier adds extra NBA games and other inventory. If the next-game box says TSN, this is your stream.

Sportsnet+ carries every Sportsnet game. Both Sportsnet+ plans include the network’s Raptors inventory, listed by Sportsnet at 35 regular-season games plus half of the playoff games, so Premium is not required for the Raptors; its extras are aimed at hockey and out-of-market coverage.

The honest cord-cutting summary is that a Raptors fan in Canada needs both services to stream the full local season, because the split runs through the whole schedule. Fans who keep a traditional television package already have both networks, and both streamers also accept TV provider sign-in.

Two wrinkles are worth knowing. The Emirates NBA Cup group games in the fall are part of the same split, not a separate package: Friday’s game against Orlando doubles as a Cup game and sits in Sportsnet’s half of the schedule, exactly where the listings put it. And come playoff time, Sportsnet’s own description of its inventory is half of all playoff games, with Prime Video holding the exclusive Eastern Conference Finals, so a deep Raptors run in the spring is the one scenario where the Prime subscription matters most in Canada. For the regular season, though, the two-network split in the box above is the whole story until April.

NBA League Pass in Canada: the blackout reality

NBA League Pass is a fine product for watching the other 29 teams. It does not show the Raptors live in Canada. NBA.com’s Canadian League Pass terms black out every Toronto Raptors game and every nationally broadcast game live across the country, because TSN and Sportsnet hold the Canadian rights. Blacked-out games appear in the League Pass archive roughly three hours after the final buzzer. So a League Pass subscription bought mainly for the Raptors is money spent on replays: the live route for Toronto games is TSN, Sportsnet and, for its two announced Raptors dates, Prime Video.

Raptors on the radio

Raptors radio is shared between TSN 1050 and Sportsnet 590 The FAN across the season, following the same network split as the television schedule. The station paired with a given game tracks which network holds that night’s broadcast, so the next-game box on this page records the TV and streaming home for each matchup and the radio pairing is listed with the network’s own game listing. Between the two stations, every Raptors game is available on Toronto radio all season.

Raptors viewing questions, answered

What channel is the Raptors game on tonight? Wednesday, October 28 against Orlando is on TSN at 7:30 p.m. ET, streaming on TSN+. The rematch on Friday, October 30 is on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+, a clean example of the season-long split.

How can I stream Raptors games in Canada? Use TSN streaming for TSN games and Sportsnet+ for Sportsnet games; together they cover the local schedule, and Prime Video carries its two announced Raptors dates. There is no single-service option for the full season.

Is the game on TSN or Sportsnet? It alternates all year. TSN carries 41 games and Sportsnet carries the other half of the local schedule, decided game by game, which is why this page’s next-game box is updated on the morning of every Raptors game day from the network listings.

Bookmark this hub. It is refreshed on game-day mornings with the confirmed channel, stream and tip time for the next Raptors game, so the nightly channel hunt ends here.
