Toronto artist Daniel Caesar continues his Son of Spergy Tour, his first headlining arena tour, running from May 16 to November 22, 2026. The 49 show run spans Asia, North America and Europe in support of his 2025 album Son of Spergy.
The dates are stated plainly here. Son of Spergy was released on October 24, 2025, not this month, and this post covers the ongoing tour behind that album, including November dates in Australia and Honolulu listed by AXS.
A first arena tour, built in three regions
The scale of this tour is the headline detail. The Son of Spergy Tour includes 14 shows in Asia, 28 in North America and 7 in Europe, for 49 shows in total. For an artist whose music is often intimate, piano led and gospel influenced, filling arenas across three regions is a significant step, and it reflects how far the album travelled after its release last fall.
Opening acts on select North American dates include Faye Webster and 070 Shake, two artists whose own work sits comfortably beside Caesar’s mix of R and B, soul and alternative songwriting. Their presence gives the North American leg a coherent bill, rather than a mismatched support slot, and it introduces Caesar’s audience to performers working in related emotional territory.
November brings the tour to Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on November 8 and 9, followed by Neal S Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu on November 14, according to AXS listings, before the full run closes on November 22. Those late year dates show the tour is still in an active international phase this month, a full year after the album arrived.
The album behind the tour
Son of Spergy is Caesar’s fourth studio album and his most successful on the charts to date. It debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, and it became his first No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R and B Hip Hop Albums, Top R and B Albums and Vinyl Albums charts. The album track Who Knows has passed 300 million global streams, according to AXS’s artist summary, and it was released to Italian radio on February 6, 2026 as the album’s fourth single.
The album’s theme is reconciliation, specifically with his father. Its title is a nod to the nickname of Caesar’s father, gospel singer Norwill Simmonds. Songs including Have A Baby With Me in its full listing as Have A Baby (With Me), Call On Me and Moon introduced that theme before the full album, and Who Knows became one of its clearest statements, with Caesar examining accountability and inherited patterns in his own life.
I have a lot of respect for my dad, and I hold him in high regard. The album is about me realizing that I am exactly like him. In that sense, it’s about having patience, respect, and admiration for myself.
That quote, shared in coverage of his Who Knows performance on The Tonight Show, explains why the album connected beyond its chart numbers. Caesar, born Ashton Simmonds in Toronto, built the record around turning 30, family accountability and faith, with collaborators including Bon Iver, Yebba, Blood Orange and Sampha contributing to its sound across different tracks.
Why this tour matters for Toronto
Caesar’s rise is a Toronto story with global receipts. His 2017 debut Freudian introduced a singer who could hold a room with a quiet vocal and a piano. Case Study 01 in 2019 and Never Enough in 2023 expanded that reach, and his featured work, including Peaches with fellow Canadian Justin Bieber and Giveon, gave him No. 1 experience on major charts before his own album topped the R and B album charts.
Now the live story matches the recording story. A 49 show arena run is not a victory lap for a single song. It requires a catalogue that can fill a set, an audience in Asia and Europe as well as North America, and an album strong enough to carry a year of touring. Son of Spergy supplied that album, opening with 43,000 equivalent album units in the United States in its first week according to Luminate reporting, with ten of its tracks reaching the Hot R and B Hip Hop Songs chart, led by Who Knows.
For Toronto fans watching from home, the remaining November dates are a chance to follow the closing stretch of a landmark run for one of the city’s defining voices. Caesar set out in May to headline arenas for the first time. By November 22, he will have done it on three continents.
Son of Spergy is available on all major streaming platforms. Start with Who Knows, Moon and Root Of All Evil to hear the album’s centre before following the final tour dates this month.
