Ayra Starr Shares Ms. Paper Video

By Marquee

Ayra Starr released the official video for Ms. Paper, her collaboration with French rapper Theodora, on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, through Mavin Records and Republic Records. The Ayra Starr Ms. Paper video gives a full visual to a song that has been a fan favourite since it first arrived as an album track on August 14, 2026.

The timing is deliberate. Ms. Paper sits on Starrgirl, Starr’s third solo album, released in August 2026, and the video lands while the album is still in its opening run. Rather than moving straight to the next single, Starr is extending the life of a record listeners had already picked out for themselves, which is usually the surest sign of where an album’s centre of gravity sits.

Ayra Starr Ms. Paper Video: Two Voices, Two Languages

The song, produced by The Elements, blends Afropop influences and switches between English and French as both artists trade lines. That switch is the record’s engine. Starr carries the hook in English, Theodora answers in French, and the chorus folds both together in the line the two sing in unison:

Turn me on like gasolina, I make money, bae, I will call you later. Moi, c’est Miss Kitoko ou Miss Paper.

Theodora, the French-Congolese artist who has built her name as one of the defining voices of bouyon, is not a decorative feature here. Her presence turns a solo album cut into a cross-cultural record, the kind of pairing Starr has leaned into across Starrgirl. The FADER, picking the song for its Songs You Need roundup in August, noted how easily Starr keeps pace with Theodora on what it called a ridiculously fun party record, and the video leans on that same chemistry, cutting between the two performers rather than treating one as the guest.

Starr announced the visual herself ahead of release, posting the date and time for both of her audiences at once:

Starrgirl and the Album Around the Song

Starrgirl runs 16 tracks and carries one of the most international guest lists of any pop album this year: Wizkid, Rema, ZAYN, Leon Thomas, kwn and Danny Ocean all appear. Ms. Paper was one of the previously released tracks carried into the album alongside Tornado and Heaven Baby, which means the record arrived with momentum before the video existed.

The album’s opening numbers explain the confidence behind that rollout. Starrgirl debuted at No. 2 on Spotify’s Top Albums Global chart, earned 3.9 million streams on Spotify in its first full day, and debuted at No. 1 on the Apple Music album chart in 15 countries. Those are first week figures for an artist now past seven billion global streams and one billion YouTube views, a three-time MOBO Award winner whose catalogue travels well beyond any single market.

A Year of Firsts Around the Video

The Ms. Paper video is the second Starr visual in a matter of weeks. Earlier this month she teamed up with Zayn Malik for the official Heaven Baby video, which became a viral fan favourite, passing 43.2 million global streams and topping the Shazam Global Viral chart within its first week. Two videos, two very different collaborations, one album: the Starrgirl campaign is being run as a sequence, not a single launch moment.

The live side tells the same story. Starr performed at this year’s Afro Plus Fest, and she performed at the 2026 NFL London Game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Jacksonville Jaguars, becoming the first African artist to headline an NFL halftime show. Each of those stages puts her in front of an audience that did not arrive through Afrobeats radio, and each one sends new listeners back to the album, where Ms. Paper is waiting with a video now attached.

That is the real function of this release. Album tracks without visuals tend to fade into playlist rotation, while a strong video gives a song its own search life, its own shareable moments and a second debut. The clip itself matches the record’s energy, built on bold fashion, striking cinematography and the chemistry between the two performers that made the song a standout in the first place. Ms. Paper already had the streams and the fan verdict from August. As of October 28, it has the picture to match, and Starrgirl has another front door for listeners arriving from either artist’s world.
